@prince fluff: Through the Virtual Console's screen settings, it should be the default setting. Also, there's a setting that displays the top and bottom screens on the TV and GamePad respectively.

hey how do you even get this border to appear
they could put the top screen on the tv only and the bottom screen on the gamepad only but maybe they want you to be able to see both screens on the same screen
