@Doc von Schmeltwick: I checked. They aren't on the NSMBU section because there is none, which is sort of my point.

@PixelcraftianYT: Am I gonna have to post the image showing they're NOT SPRITES on the same page where it's already visible? I think I'm going to have to.

They're not sprites.

They're not sprites.

No >.>
If you notice, the Troopas and such in game animate in a somewhat jagged manner, because they are prerendered sprites. NSMBU-style Mario in this game is not a sprite. Period. No ifs, ands, or buts.

(Well, I saw the comments below me, but I heard it was a sprite. Take the koopa's for example.)

Since the Mario in NSMBU is a sprite, shouldn't it be ripped :/

@NES Boy: Ah, since those are actually models, I guess I can upload those to The Models Resource later.

I guess I should have clarified. I'm not talking about the shells used in the NES and SNES styles, I'm talking about the shell models used for the NSMBU versions of Buzzy Mario and Spiny Mario.

@NES Mario: As Ton said, there are some on the Mario sheets, but there's a few also on the respective enemy sheets, as the last frames of animation for the Spiny and Buzzy Beetle respectively.

@NES Boy ...They're on the Mario sheets.

What about the shells Mario wears as Spiny Mario and Buzzy Mario?

@Random Talking Bush Yeah, I noticed that after I had already left that comment ^^;;

@Doc von Schmeltwick: Already showed off that it's not "A" in an earlier comment. :P
The models used for 'em are the same as New Super Mario Bros. U, yes, with Bowser's being the only one that wasn't already recycled from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. But since we don't even have Mario's model from that on tMR, I'll work on uploading that sometime soon.

@Balrogcgar I assume because either
A: Like everything else, they are actually prerendered sprites (with an absurd amount of poses) or
B: The use the models from NSMBU, and can be found in that section.

How come the models of Mario and Bowser haven't been uploaded? I don't mean to be rude, only confused.

Does Super Mario Run use the same sprites/assets as this game or New Super Mario Bros. U?

I noticed that the Palette sheets are out of date. Namely, they're missing the course elements that were added to the game since it launched, as well as the revamped P Switch for the SMB and NSMBU game styles.

where's the new super mario bros u backgrounds?

Mario & Yoshi are models, because way to many animation frames would have been needed to animate them properly.
Bowser & Bowser Jr. are models, because they always look at the player in many different angles, which would not have been possible with sprites.
I hope this answers your Questions about their absence

Look two comments below yours.
