a rip of a rip

Imma label that orange "Mister Man Orange"

Answering some questions no one asked so you won't have to ask them:
- The slope sliding sprites are supposed to be the Ground Pound move, as the New Super Mario Bros. U moveset was planned to be incorporated into every game style at one point.
- The red silhouettes of Mario and his cape at the bottom of the sheet are most likely placeholders, as the text in the sheet suggests.
- The same text also notes that Super and Fire Mario both are missing their right foot in their dash jumping sprites. The sprites next to them include their fully assembled feet.
- At the very bottom of the sprite sheet, there are duplicates of Cape Mario's flying animation. These have an unknown purpose.
- Small Mario's turning on Yoshi sprites contain an orange pixel between his face and hand. It is the exact same color as the background of Mister Man's sprite sheet of Mario from the original World game, suggesting that Nintendo didn't reuse the original sprites from World, but rather used an unofficial sprite sheet as reference. @superspongebobbros already mentioned this.

"Why dig deep into the Nintendo archives when you can go to The Spriters Resource?"

So, here's a fun fact: According to TCRF, one of SMW Mario's sprites in Super Mario Maker (specifically, the sprites used when he's turning while riding Yoshi while small) has a stray orange pixel. That pixel is the exact same color (#FF8040) as the background color for Mister Man's old SMW Mario sheet, meaning that Nintendo lifted the Mario sprite used in Mario Maker from this very site. (Nintendo didn't fix it in SMM2)

the run jump sprite is fixed in the sequel

Is there any palette available for these sprites?

@TheGreenDev: They're actually called "hip drop" internally, they're not meant to be sliding sprites in-game.

I think they planned slopes because there are sliding positions in smb3 and smw

Maybe the red Space are the hitboxes or something

Yeah, pretty much. Don't know why they're included in the original space when they could've easily been blanked out.
Anyway, added the "combo" Fire Flower and Cape Feather sprites.

or things that were removed

@andreelikesplantsvszombies
i think, they were placeholders

Looks like Yoshi doesn't have orange gloves anymore. Plus Yoshi swimming sprites?

woah, what are these red "x"s for?

Ewww they cut off the feet on the full-speed jumping sprite! Gross!
