You had ALL THE EFFORT to put the costume idle sprites there. We just have the costume sheet!

@SFYTAG Those sprites are the ones that appear when you get into a Goomba's Shoe. so while Small and Super Mario have just their head, Weird Mario decides to be Weird Mario and do whatever he's doing here.

Why is Lanky/Weird Mario's head only sprite different than the ones in the other transformations? He's like scratching the back of his head and holding on fr something.

Answering some questions no one asked so you won't have to ask them:
-The lighter-skinned Mario sprites are used in the 10/100-Mario Challenge game modes, on the world map.
-Luigi is only seen on the startup screen, specifically on Sundays.
-The duplicate climbing Fire Mario sprite was intended to be the Ground Pound ability, as having the New Super Mario Bros. U moveset for every style was considered at one point.
-The brighter-haired Big Mario sprites are earlier, unused versions of his sprites.
-As for why Big Mario's hand in one of the swimming sprites is gloveless, it is most likely a graphical mistake overlooked by the developers. This was fixed in the second game.
-The duplicate of the Mystery Mushroom is its default variant, where it isn't set to a specific costume, but rather changing to a random one each time. It isn't exactly the same, as it has some differently-shaded pixels around its "?" symbol.
-When the Mystery Mushroom is set to a specific costume, it will take the appearance of the costume's idle sprite in the editor, which is why the costume idles are in this sheet. The full Costume Mario sprite sheet can be viewed here: https://www.spriters-resource.com/wii_u/supermariomaker/sheet/69695/
-The Weird Mario with a third button was supposedly an "appeal" pose like the ones from Costume Mario, and it goes unused in the final game.

@Xyzeer: This is for Super Mario Maker 1, not 2.

Where are the link's bombs?

now i know that weird mario was a glitch that became a feature

@amogussus69: Those are the ones used for the menus. The actual sprites are in a separate submission.

those costumes arent hopping images so they should have animation

unless its SMM2

Everybody gangsta till Small Mario crouches

Saft1234 The sprite ripper only (I think).

Um.... just do both. I think you must give credit to the ripper in commercial use, but not sure about the site.

If im gonna use sprites in general in public, do i have to give credit to the sprite ripper or the site i found them on?

@PACNATIC: Kuribo's Shoe.

What are the disembodied mario heads used for? I've never seen them.

@Saft1234 That's Mario using the Fire Flower and him climbing.

Thanks! Really helpful! What are the two last fire mario sprites called?

@Saft1234: Pretty much, but you missed a couple. Idle [1], Crouch [1], Walk [3], Skid [1], Jump [1], Swim [6], Climb / Pole [2], Shoe [1], Die [1], and Level Start [1].

Yes, and the other is idle, crouching, waking 1-3, skidding, swimming 1-6, climbing 1-2, dead right?
