Holy shit I never knew there was a port of this on the pc engine, hopefully it plays better than the NES version.

I remember watching longplays of this port. Arguably has the best version of the soundtrack.

This game plays mostly like the NES version with the benefit of CD audio. The definitive version. As much as I like River City Ransom EX for its extra features, I prefer the PC Engine CD version of DNM more since it has co-op. The trade off being that it is in Japanese only.
