There are so many great games on the SNES that it's hard for me to say what the best one is.

I can argue that this is the best SNES game

Yes!

I have a few enemy and object animations that are just Super FX2 sprites stretching and squishing. Should I upload those here as well since they might be useful?

There are two things that I think should be moved to different sections:
-Trees: This looks more like a background and not a foreground. I dunno though.
-Shy Guy/Lantern Ghost Generator Pipe Interior - Technically this is a room in various levels, why was this moved from stages?

@Murphmario Thanks for the recommendation, i'll try bsnes+.
@Barack Obama Thanks for the info. I've used that strategy in the past to rip super mario world stages.

@Sanic
I usually use an editor, like Somedit (Secret of Mana), Map Jester (Seiken Densetsu 3 / Trials of Mana), Lunar Magic (Super Mario World), Hyrule Magic (The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past) or in this case, Golden Egg.
For this game (Yoshi's Island), I open the game in Golden Egg, select a level, deactivate sprites (red boxes), grab the purple boxes (if there any) out of the map borders, select a checkered background and make a screenshot with Snagit (version 8.0). Then I open it in my graphics program, activate the 16x16 pixels grid and cut the map out (which is always a multiple of 16 pixels). After that, I recolour the checkered bg with a light pink and choose transparency for this colour.
This is pretty much it.

@Sanic Use bsnes+, it's a bit better than SNES9X

Hey @Barack Obama, I'm trying to rip some stages from mario all stars, and I would like if could tell me what strategy/program do you use to rip all those stages so quickly and efficiently. I wanted to ask that because my current strategy for ripping stages is quite "messy" (walk,save vsnes screenshot,walk, save vsnes screenshot, combine them in Gimp). My strategy works, but it could lead to some mistakes, specially in stages with little variation like smb3 1-fortress(which btw, is being a pain to rip with this strategy).

RIP old Bosses sheet. 2003-2021

Naval Piranha could do with a rerip as well actually, don't think it's the most complete sheet out there. Keep the redrawn heads though, those are nice.

At least Naval Piranha is already ripped, with a redrawn head as a bonus.

@Ton That seems like a really easy one, I'll do it soon-ish.
Edit: it was, indeed, really easy
Edit: it was, indeed, really easy

Once Bigger Boo is ripped we can delete the old boss sheet. :O

Submitted Hookbill. He's a mix of normal sprites, dynamic sprites, and the mode 7 BG layer. Might rip some more bosses later.
Edit: also ripped the big marching mildes
Edit: also ripped the big marching mildes

ATM I'm having trouble ripping the world 2-8 boss (roger the potted ghost) so this might take a while.

If you do, you'll be my hero.

I'm gonna clean up the bosses section

Where's the Magikoopa/Kamek sprites?

@Random_Talking_Bush Excuse me and when will the skies be released in this game's background section
