@Jammin: They technically already are separated -- the Sonic Origins section only contains contents that are new to said game, with everything else being in their respective Mobile / PC re-release's game entries.

The 2D Mario series got revived with New Super Mario Bros, right? Just imagine how cool it would have been if Nintendo did some "Four Swords Adventures" kind of stuff for the Mario series with All-Stars sprites during the Gamecube era too. It would fit very well, since during this generation we technically didn't get a new 2D Mario on the GBA.
This is very old info, but apparently in the Nintendo Gigaleak there were some strings on this game's source code titled "Super Mario CD". Some theories suggest that this game could have started development for the Nintendo Play Station before it was cancelled.
I just like to imagine how cool it would be if Nintendo had waited until the N64 to release this game, taking advantage of the much newer hardware. I would really love to hear the higher quality soundtrack!

Because SMM is a reskin or all the same objects, while SMAS is 4-5 completely different games with different assets.

@TylerBrownies That`s what i thought i would find here,but nooo.They have to do it this way,because like that we have to find every single SMAS game to find the whole SMAS.
Question; Why don’t we have all the sprites from each game inside of one game, like SMM and SMM2?
