@GoodClover and QuadFactor: It's meant to represent an "ai ai gasa" as it's known in Japanese (which translates to: "love love umbrella"), your name on one side and your love's on the other with the implication that both would be together under the same umbrella. Duskisnigh's post on Tumblr here explains it well.

@GoodClover: According to the TCRF page, it says "Mario" on one side and "Peach" on the other, and the object is an umbrella.

For the curious, the Japanese at the top is a transliteration of English "Mario Kart", "Mariokāto" (マリオカート).
