The motion effect is probably achieved with programming, but it's also useful to have it this way. I've already tried vSNES and it's not much of a difference in the results you can get with this game
Pretty sure the original is only one picture and the wobbling just an effect created by the developer software. I recommend vSNES for cases like these.
