@Dolphman: That's exactly what happened, yeah. They kept repeatedly pestering the staff to remove their submissions instead of taking less than a minute per submission to fix the issues, so they all got binned because of which.

@MisterJay, It's because ScepticalSquirrel threw a hissy fit over us pointing it out and most likely demanded the stages to be removed instead of fixing them.
Unless one of the staff members can correct me about the situation.

The strangeness is how it was like in the ROM (well two ROMs in the case of Blaze due to US censorship) and believe it or not, in many games and not just on the Genesis characters do actually face left in the ROM but flipped to the right in game. The left facing is how they were designed. When many of these rips were done, you were lucky to see any non-Sonic Genesis rips at all... In terms of the site, they are pretty old and were done before the likes of editors such as Pancake existed.

A lot of the spritesheets here are strange. The Blaze ones for example aren't in the correct order in a lot of places and for some reason the playable characters sprites are all facing left but the sprites haven't been flipped. Looking at the comments it appears there were stages ripped at one point but they're gone now. A bit of a mess.

Edit: I see the stages were removed as they were 2x too big apparently. Couldn't someone have just halved the image size instead of removing them, though?

@ScepticalSquirrel The sprites were ripped from the ROM via TileMole-ster (added the dash due to the unfortunate name) a long time ago so they are the correct size.

Yeah, your emulator just had the screen doubled in size or more and you just didn't know. It is understandable since often they are the default settings because having it in 320x224 (the resolution in Genesis games unless it is PAL where on the Mega Drive it is 320x240 and used for some Codemasters games) would show up tiny on modern monitors. Many first time rippers were caught out on this, not just on the Genesis but for others.

I'm curious to know what you used to rip the stages.

@ScepticalSquirrel Your emulator might simply have the wrong setting. It's nbd, especially if it makes capturing easier. You just have to make sure they're 1x1 when you submit. That's all.

What do you mean? They are twice their normal size. Also I'm not accusing you.

They are NOT rescaled, I have NOT rescaled them. Straight to accusing me of that, than wondering hmmm maybe Yawackhary used a different process/program to rip his sprites to me, hence the size discrepancies?

@ScepticalSquirrel Why are they rescaled?

@ScepticalSquirrel They're definitely at 2X.

They're re-sized? Are you basing that on the size of the other sheets others uploaded? As your statement is false if so - mine are actual size, the others are downsized compared. I should know, as the sheets of characters I ripped myself are accurate size compared to the stage, not x4 smaller.

@ScepticalSquirrel You might want to scale them down to 1x. They're resized and not the actual scale
