how is the smallest zone in the prototype the only one as a ZIP file?

hehehe wood

@IanBoy141 probably time constraints or something like that

Shouldn't these be just the tiles from the betas? These are from Sonic 2 Delta.

And in the original prototype you cant really see the zone without debug mode.

@beanluv I'll test it.
Result: I can't seem to replicate it, but as it turns out you can scale up the slope. At first I thought it was unique to Wood Zone, but I tested it in Emerald Hill Zone and it also worked.

@IanBoy141: I forgot to mention that the zone's layout wasn't complete yet.
@MarioMadness734: I don't remember it happening in the Long Version, but I definitely do remember in Sonic 2 Delta.

@beanluv I do recall getting stuck in a slope in this zone while playing Sonic 2 Long Version (a hack with the unused zones), but you can easily get out.

@IanBoy141: Possibly because of the slopes' physics, which may cause the player to fall through the floor. This also happens in Sonic 2 Delta.

Nice.
I wonder, why did this level get cut? It's art was finished and the zone would have been pretty fun to play.
