dont you guys think its weird that the icon for this contains sprites that aren't in this sheet?
so if i'm correct:
the sprite for Sonic is a modified version of the ending sprite from Sonic 1
Tails is new
and Super Sonic is also new

the palette for sonic is from sonic 1!
Fun fact: The first sprite used in Sonic's ending animation is taken straight out of Sonic 1 - just with the shoes modified.
