@Doc von Schmeltwick Alright, thanks! I figured out the first part through trial and error but didn't notice the corresponding shades of purple (I just guessed for that part lol)

@Dragon See the four stacks of orange shades? Every horizontal row of that goes to the corresponding shade of purple at once, for a total of 16 frames.

can someone explain how to apply the lava palette? the sheet doesn't explain and the way it's organized is kinda weird

Technical explanation is that most of Emerald Hill and Hill Top are shared, with only unique tiles differing. As a result, most of the chunks are shared, so both zones have the same chunks to work with... including the unique ones that become glitched looking in the wrong zone.

i actually had a go at fixing the missing sprites in the emerald hill sheet dunno if ill bother with the hill top one as theres more missing

i'm surprised nobody's tried filling in the garbage tile slots using it's correspondents from EHZ and vice versa, there's quite a few that can be filled in by doing this, though it may be considered a custom since the chunks didn't "properly" exist in the rom... so I can see why
