@Akira There isn't a single guide to call this robot Silver Sonic. You know why? Because this robot ISN'T Silver Sonic. Calling this robot Silver Sonic was a stupid fan nickname from the early-mid 2000's that's never been official. The ONLY Silver Sonic is the Scrambled Egg Zone one.

It's SILVER SONIC
And that little guy from Scrambled Egg is probably a proto.type of Silver of just Silver 1.0, and this is Silver Sonic 2.0 or something
Well, all that i can tell is : As far as i remember, his and the little guy on Scramblod Egg's names are Silver Sonic.

Meh, i guess it was just a typo or somethin' and i'm just a big ol' dumbo. :\

Eh, i mean the book has some never before seen concept art in it, so... I think it is? I don't know... :/ But i just found it on the Sonic 2 concept art part of the book. It was a little sketch of mecha sonic and it was called "Mech Sonic".

His name is "Wire-Faced Sonic" as shown in the official Sonic cookbook from 1995.

@Hans Cuff
Is that in any way endorsed by SEGA? It's not on Sonic Wiki. In fact, it says the official Sonic 4 website called it "Mecha Sonic" in its backstory section.

His real name is "Mech" Sonic. it's in the Cook and Becker sonic art book.
EDIT: I'm wrong.

I know. My point was if you were using a recent, but non-canon source, there's even more recent equally-non-canon sources.

It's not like the Archie comics are canon either.
But whatever. I'll just put all three names in the title.

LEGO Dimensions. Isn't. CANON. And technically I think some Archie Comics were released afterwards, which call it Silver Sonic.

Mecha Sonic, Metal Sonic, Silver Sonic, Robo Sonic... Four different names for one thing.
If we're going by names used in official English media (recently), then it's Robo Sonic for this one.

the name is "Mecha Sonic" =V

If we're being honest, Silver Sonic is the best name of the bunch.

The name "Robo Sonic" was only used in the LEGO game. In every official source, it is referred to it as "Mecha Sonic." "Silver Sonic" was the English name of robot from 8-bit Sonic 2, which was strangely used in the Archie Comics for this robot and similar ones. That robot was also "Mecha Sonic" in Japanese.
Basically, the only truly "official" name for this robot is "Mecha Sonic," with the others being unofficial nicknames.
