The S3 Proto Sonic is a straight recolor of the original S2 Sonic, with very few new sprites added.

I think that if you recolor this right, then you can create Sonic from the 1993/11/03 build of Sonic the Hedgehog 3...

@Brian Fan It's a recolored and edited version of S2 Sonic, that's all.
You're actually missing some sprites. One set of them is the snowboarding section if Flying Battery is between Carnival Night and Ice Cap, where Sonic uses a door as the snowboard. The other, I could understand why they aren't on here. They aren't seen in normal gameplay and can only be seen with debug. Sonic's CD falling sprites appear in the Sonic 2 style sprites. Only place I know they appear is when you fight Knux's final boss as Sonic, when Egg Robo grabs you. I'm sure there's even more, but that's all I know. Good work ripping these though! Nice seeing this on the site.

The bright green background sorta hurts my eyes and I'd suggest changing it to the aqua blue color some of the other sheets on this site use but other than that I'm just glad these are here
