the shooing sprites are used for an easter egg called "Bow at Knuckles", to see these sprites in action, position on the right of Knuckles when he is breathing in the button, then press down, and it should work.
Oh right, that one. I went ahead and added it to the sheet.

It's the frame where Knuckles transitions to kneeling down for a breather. Easy to miss.
If it's literally one frame in a game with tens/hundreds of thousands of frames, of course it's going to be missed - Needle in the Needlestack and all.
