On my first playthru of sonic & knuckles, I died to this guy and ragequit.
I struggled with this guy when I was a young lad XD It's full body or head-projectile attacks were a bane if I didn't have a fire shield.
I didn't know he could do anything other than just chop wood, because he always lasts about 3 seconds.

I remember hearing rumors that the head falling off Hei Hou went unused, but found out it only happens in Knuckles's story when getting down to the stump of the tree it's chopping.
