What's weird is the fact that BubbleBot's face looks awfully...organic.

Pretty weird that Treasure would reuse the "caged lion" enemy ten years later in Wario World. I wonder if it was a coincidence, or if the same character designer did both games.

The Jolly Monster just straight up looks like a Furby with shoes.
@WizToad: Let's just say that most of Japan wasn't quite educated with the whole "blackface" issue at the time.
That Island Native (JP) sure looks uhh... interesting.
