I find it cool the tcrf version has an animation and different palette
the intro may have showed inside the newtrogic high tower, then zoomed out, then the 3 light balls may have been the mosquito badniks, they accompany metal sonic and most of the cutscene is normal

Looking back at this, I have a few questions.
- How was this ripped?
- How do you know this is for the intro and not some later-game cutscene? I have a feeling this could've been used as a boss intro (perhaps Metal Sonic/Titan Metal?).
- What other sprites is it grouped with (what surrounds it in the ROM)?
- Where is it located in the ROM?

You'd think being a spin-off game for a well-known franchise that came out 26 years ago, in addition to having multiple development builds and even an early prototype leaked would result in everything being found by now.
Now the Knuckles Chaotix page on The Cutting Room Floor will need and update! XD
