@Jordan: The palette for that is right there in the corner of the submission. I literally told you this already in the game's comment page earlier.

fun fact: if you look really closely at Knuckles's sprites in the Special Stage, its a modified version of the Sonic sprites from the Special Stages in Sonic CD

Knuckles' palette in this is wonderful.

Much easier to understand now don't really like the bright pink with the red or pink in some cases echidna but just a small nitpick very cluttred now as well but could just be the boxes

@FlamingFox Character 01's palette in the final game reuses Mighty's palette, so look at that sheet. The unique palette in 1207 though (which belonged to Tails) isn't included here, as I was unsure where I'd really put it (since Tails has no actual sprites in-game minus that one unused ending sprite that doesn't even use said palette).

@Random Talking Bush - Alright, fair point. But I definitely think the old sheet had most of those unused sprite - it would be pretty weird for it not to include the sprite for running of all things, plus the Wechnia/******* glitch palette isn't included here.

Also to add on RTB's point and didn't know at the time, it wasn't possible to rip from the final version back then. The tools that I used that were on Sonic Retro around 2008 only covered the prototypes as the format was a bit different. So those 23 final sprites were indeed accidentally missed...
32X ripping is really hard to do and Chaotix is the only game out of around 40 that had its research cracked right open (Kolibri believes uses more of the Genesis hardware and that's why that's ripped, the others that are on the site are more minimal or were captured even if they are mostly 3D games). Doesn't help that the addon uses a framebuffer.
I'm actually really pleased that these Chaotix sheets have been updated. Said it once and say it again, the old sheets are embarrassing.

This new revision has everything from Yawackhary's old sheet, plus more. Yawackhary's sheet didn't have the separated pieces for Knuckles' title screen sprite, and it was missing 23(!) non-prototype sprites (specifically, Yawackhary's rip was based on the prototype first and foremost, so 23 finalized sprites were accidentally missed, all of which are included here).
(EDIT: Here, have a direct comparison! Sprites in black were on the old sheet, colorized sprites are new to this one. Sure looks like "LESS CONTENT"... if you live in the bizarro universe.)

i don't know why but i D E S P I S E knuckles' gliding sprites.

Looking at this design, I think Mania sorta has a mix between this style of Knuckles and S&K look. His balancing animation looks weird in this one too, at least he doesn't slowly stand on one foot and flail around
