@Yawackhary I realized that the bootleg games wiki information is incorrect, actually (from what I could see) they are edited sprites of Dave's sprites in despicable me: the Game (Java ME version)
@noltongi According to the Bootleg Games Wiki, they came from the DS Despicable Me game but altered due to the hardware differences and poses that may not be in that game.
Most of the game still uses the original graphics from Bubble & Squeak as it is a hack of that game.

Besides using the mobile sprites would be more easier to adapt for the Mega Drive.
