@captaingame17 i am pretty sure that the explosions are the same as sonic 1's and the game over text uses the same font as the act clear text

Wacky Workbench lives up to its name in this regard, as there's a bit more than expected when I had some glances into it.

ummmm... can someone add the unused R2 Boss and Badnicks? i can't seem to find them in any version

Only the original version used sprites because the Mega CD couldn't cope very well in terms of palette and frame rate speed so instead of having a blocky video they just redrew certain sections/animation frames into sprites. Notice how clear the cutscenes are compared the typical FMV game the Sega CD got. It would take quite a while to rip though. From the 1996 PC port onwards Sega used the original animation video so they can't be sprite ripped.
Many of the old Mega CD and PC Engine games mostly from Japanese companies did use sprites for cutscenes, some like the PC Engine Sailor Moon "game" pretty much the entire game are sprite cutscenes. Not sure about Road Avenger or Time Gal though...

@beanluv: In the case of the CD-i games, they're actually stored as paletted sprite files, so they do in fact count.

I just found out that all the "FMVs" are actually sprites, but I'd imagine how tough it would be to rip them all.

Any chance we can also have the .zips for the stages? (for me, the .zip files make it easy for me to use the stage tiles without have to rip them from the sheet, Which I do poorly.)

So I heard about your guys' situation with the Wacky Workbench Backgrounds. I actually had a friend of mine rip the Past time period's 256x256 tiles for me, and I was wondering if you guys wanted to have it. It's incomplete (Missing 16x16 sprites and animated sprites/objects) but I can easily grab the former from the Taxman remake.

Its weird how when robotnik is in his egg mobile, he looks different and when he is out of it, he's normal
