I wonder if the special stage renders would be used similar to the bonus stage renders seen in Donkey Kong Country 2.
"Fun Fact": The Menu Background in the Final Game is actually a zoomed out version of the Genesis/ Saturn Prototypes Menu Background. just saying,
Small 3D renders always have a indescribably arresting vibe to them, especially when they're as raw and unfiltered as these backgrounds. It makes me sad that these models probably are lost to the sands of time...
Something about this legit feels satisfying to look at. I genuinely don’t know what it is, but it reminds me of those PC pre-rendered cutscenes for old games, mainly those of the cartoony style.
