@ylshuu sounds awesome

@Rusyn it CAN absolutely be on the SNES. I'm currently arranging such port. The hardest part is audio, esp. the ambient loops and teleport maze sfx. Split one BGM into multiple samples, overlay them, use the "dolby surround" feature, and that'll do the trick I guess. After audio there are rich backgrounds. Each of those can make use of 64 colors, or 4 16-color palettes, and that's the maximum without resorting to mode 7 (looks alright). Sprites are like the easiest part after interface, though all the nexus doors and effect eggs will maybe require some palette swapping.
FACE is just one image with different palettes. Aztec Rave Monkey is the same. Sewer drawings use scaling, that's unachievable, but not much do we lose. The Monoko event will use mode 7.

@Funnyfunfunfun
the FACE.
the FACE.

honestly, this game looks like it could be on the SNES

This could be a weird question, but why are the sheets for this game and .flow ripped straight from the files without adjusting for duplicate sprites? I think the best example of what I mean is mainly the charset sprites for Madotsuki containing four rows of the same sprites, like Madotsuki switching which hand she holds the Knife in. Seems kind of redundant if you ask me.

Something tells me Toby Fox must really love the hell out of acid trip-like games like this one and EarthBound.

Could you even call this a horror game? Besides Uboa, I can't really think of anything that could really be classified under that. Sure, the game has an overall pretty gloomy and jarring atmosphere, but I don't think it's to scare the player. It's more surrealistic than anything.

Love the hell out of this cult classic!

I honestly remember this like in very long year ago I played this like last year on my Android I just played it a little bit

When your dreams are nightmares and the doors in your room lead to nowhere, you know you've gone too far and that you can't go back anymore.

I wouldn't really call it a "horror" game. It does get pretty eerie at times, but there's very few actually scary things.
dude this game is awesome #HorrorGamesRock

@Bubsy Well, the game came out. Did it poisoned the fandom?

guess again https://promo.kadokawa.co.jp/gamecountdown/

I don't think Yume Nikki could get a bigger fandom that it already has being such an old game.
All possible theories have been already written.
All memes have been already made.
Let's Plays have been already recorded and uploaded.
All fanart (even the most questionble ones) have been already drawn.
Being on Steam means nothing, newcomers are getting an eaten carcass.

I uploaded 26 sheets and only 4 sheets was uploaded. huh.
