Hey Ceroba remember when your husband told you not to stick your only daughter with the Captain America juice and you just did it anyway because she asked nicely?
My headcanon is that whatever Ceroba injected Kanako with was a tiny bit of Integrity from the fallen blue/indigo human's soul. Which tries to turn her into a replica of that Human but ultimately fails since there's too much monster soul energy ad the determination doesn't help. So Ceroba but Kanako into her death bed in Hotland's Secret Lab which is why we can fight her in Undertale Red and Yellow
Injecting strange things into children, Ceroba is the best mother.
