Sonic Origins: Miscellaneous

w00000000t page for origins stuff!

so when there's gonna be more sheets?

Both ig. Personally though I'm more concerned about getting the miscellaneous objects, since some have smoother animations now (MGZ's rotating spikes platform, for example)

@joe w The palletes for stages or characters?

where are the palletes?

@IVBOY: Not here, no, but Sonic Retro has the images from it.

Didn't someone rip the Gallery stuff earlier? I must be misremembering things.

@Doc Melonhead I know they added a second frame to both his gliding pose and...sliding pose? Not sure the best word, the one for steep slopes and such. Not sure if there's anything else beyond what you already said.

I think it's best to rip the entirety of Sonic 3 and Knuckles form Sonic Origins and filter from there, since that's the only new game in said collection.
@DogToon64: I think there are some changes in Knuckles' cutscene sprites (especially with the green "socks"), but the only thing that came to mind in regards to the player sprites are the barrel poses for looking up and down.

@Junonoon: And you would've seen an obvious difference between Eggman's sprites from the original game and Origins' just by looking at the thumbnail.
@Random Talking Bush: Thanks for the confirmation, that saves me a bit of time. :P
Anywho, Tails and Knuckles also have new sprites in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I might work on Tails' sprites after I update Eggman's sheet since there's some sprites missing. Not sure if I'll do Knuckles' sprites yet.

@Dolphman: Nah, just had a look for myself and other than some menu stuff and the obvious addition of "Coins" HUD elements and "Sonic Forces-brand steel boxes", everything else is identical to the previous re-releases for Sonic 1, 2 and CD.
The best thing to do I feel is to either have one sheet with all of the new additions (there's not too much), or append them to the existing Mobile / 2011 PC ports of the games, and link to those versions like I'm doing right here:
Sonic the Hedgehog 1 (Mobile)
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Mobile)
Sonic the Hedgehog CD (Mobile)
Sonic the Hedgehog CD (PC, 2011)

@RTB Would it make sense to duplicate the rips from the ports of 1, 2 and CD here? Or would that be redundant?

@Junonoon proooooobably could've clicked the sheets to find out...

@Junonoon: Because they all have new and polished sprites.

isnt the only new sprites from orgins is just all the extra art you can get in the gallery? why is sonic 3 sonic here also egg robo and eggman I dont get it

@Murphmario I mean...would you have done any different were you in charge at Sega? Yeah it sucks for the customer, but they'd be competing with their own product. I'd do the same.

@Doc Melonhead Sonic CD Restored requires the mobile version, which is still up. Not defending Sega here, them delisting the original versions is inexcusable considering the quality of Origins.

Played the game, and so far it's serviceable enough. Shame that Sega Delisted all of the previous ports that the Fan mods like Sonic CD Restored and Sonic 3 Air relied on to run.

Azure Lake was rejected?

Can't wait for the upscaled 2p zone graphics. :)
