@Danny Jarquin That "TOUCH TO START" probably stems from the Sonic 3 mobile tech demo that I think Stealth pitched but got turned down at the time. It wasn't too long after Taxman did the Retro Engine Sonic 1/2/CD ports to mobile.
Either that or Sega is considering porting this to mobiles (I don't know if the Switch version or PC can support the touch screen).

i said this in a 1994 playthrough released in the 2010's (said this a few minutes ago, actually) and i'll say it again here:
the fact they made an entire pose for Sonic standing while we cannot see it is honestly quite surprising

so 2 frames are a bit different from S3Air and that's it. Well the background is also different with the clouds not being the same

You know, I wonder if the 3D model that they used for Sonic in this is still around...
I think pretty much EVERYTHING for Sonic 1 & 2 are identical to the 2013 remasters. Check those pages.

and yk, a mobile port wouldn't sound too bad, considering they did change the music to match the prototype, so maybe they can do the same if it ever comes out on mobile
