Hey look, accidental foreshadowing!
One's the Rock Drill (the first one), and the latter is the Drillerdroid (the Act 1 mid-boss).
@Doc von Schmeltwick: The original one doesn't, but then it re-appears as the Act 1 boss for Lava Reef with some additions.
So does this appear for more than 5 seconds in this game? I'm assuming by the crosshair-like rings that it does.
