@Weißchwarz The E-100 series are based on the original EggRobos; I'm pretty sure the "E" was meant to be for "EggRobo" all along since it was really only used for robots that took after them in appearance and/or behavior (aside from in Sonic X where it was used for all his robots).

Is anyone else reminded of the E-100 series looking at the heavies in general, both Heavy for the original E-100 models and then Phantom for the jacked-up E-100 models?

I should make a mod that replaces heavy rider with driller Robotnik from sonic 2.

@FLEENSTONES?!?! Even if you’re super, it’s impossible. They were programmed to have -1 health, and they would only be defeated if the health is exactly zero, not if the health is no more than zero. As a result, hitting them would subtract 1 from the current health, just making the health go farther away from zero, and therefore, it’s impossible to defeat them. If you hack the game and give them a positive health, defeating them would crash the game because they aren’t meant to be defeated, so there aren’t any animations that they’re supposed to do when they’re defeated, causing a HEX error and crashing the game.

@James205 Unless you’re super.

Anyone else try to kill the Phantom Heavies only to come to the sad realisation that it's impossible

apparently these originally were one single boss at once, before phantom king became seperate and the others became part of the hand attack of the phantom egg

I wish he did the hand attack more often, not enough people get to see the phantoms.

I just looked at this sheet again, what are the bullet's from heavy king's pinch mode when you fight him in lava reef doing on that sheet?, i guess they're remains of the removed pinch mode alongside with the fact that there's an unused version of heavy king which involved him transforming into the other heavies

@lemmingscanfly Yeah, Phantom Rider is the last of the 4 in the cycle. I never even saw Phantom Magician until I purposely waited around to see what happens.
@tents It seems that destroying one of the arms sets Eggman's attack pattern back to the beginning. The teleport move is the last move in the pattern, so Super forms will never see it except for standing around waiting.

@lemmingscanfly After I managed to get all Chaos Emeralds, in the Titanic Monarch battle, Eggman never directly teleported me to the Phantom Heavies.

I don't think I encountered Phantom Heavy Rider once in the 4 or 5 times I've fought that boss, I just beat Eggman too quickly.

@jackj106: These are the ones specifically for the final boss battle, and their internal name for that is "Phantom".

ummmmmmmmmmmmmm.
i thought they were called the HARD BOILED heavys?

They appear in the part with the Heavy Magician if you're under the wrong shell.

i don't remember seeing those big magenta colored lightnings in-game, so i guess they may have been intended for the final boss' scrapped pinch mode
