@TheGameyFireBro105 I find that unlikely, it'd be pretty rude to complain that something wasn't named after yourself. With that said, I think it'd still be likely that the Motobug would be named after him even if he was still alive, even just as a reference instead of a tribute.
Probably still Jimmy, because the guy would probably say something if he wasn't named.
if Jim was still alive, would the Motobug still be named Jimmy or just called Motobug?
This may be just me but aren't the sprites a bit too dark?

@Azadcan Polygon Jim is the man behind the Motobug in Sonic 1 hack, who passed away a few years ago. The Motobug that Heavy Rider uses is named Jimmy in his honor.

Fun fact: The Motobug that Heavy Rider rides on is named Jimmy, a nice nod at Polygon Jim who created Motobug The Badnik IN Sonic The Hedgehog and unfortunately passed away in a car accident in (I think) 2012
