I did watch Vol 1 - 3 and currently Vol 4 Rn
Rooster Teeth actually meddled a lot with the development, and the game turned out so bad, the creator doesn't wants to work with them anymore. He's been sharing the progress of his new game Arbiter, and you can see that he actually has the talent to make a really high quality game.
That story sounds like what fan games should strive for :D

@Noyemi K: It started as a fan-made game, but the fanbase wanted it to be a "licensed" game, so yeah it was voted on Steam so it could be green-lighted, they contacted the creators of that show and the guy who made the fan-made game, the rest is history.
Oh man, they actually made a game out of this trash?
