Holy crap eggman looks so bad, it looks like someone downloaded an eggman sprite sheet and just destroyed it with windows photo editor.
Not to mention metal shadow, I think I've seen this dude on the (now dead) leaf forest zone!

@P-Tux If there's a download to a version that replaces the Surge content with the Sonic graphics. I'll give it a shot.

Why don't you just contribute to the graphics, then? You know how to sprite and the game is open-source. It could really be an opportunity for you to see your sprites get used by people who use the Open Surge engine, especially if it attracts more users because you made it look better.
@Ten2 I know that. It's just that this was painful to look at even back in 2009. And now they threw all the Sonic stuff away and renamed it Open Surge, which has way worse graphics it makes you question why bother with original content at all.

@Dolphman Well, this game isn't a recent thing, it's from 2009.
Yuck. Eggman is covered with Photoshop filters, ruining the sprite. And that Metal Shadow is so horribly dated I remember it being part of Fireball20xl!
