Reason he does not have tears is because everyone dealt differently with Mari's death, as he made more friends to not stay depressed (like Hero) or angry (like Aubrey) we can see that on the emotion chart.
I find it odd that Kel is the only one with no tears when he's sad in this battle, hero and aubrey both have tears
