Correction to Cosmic's comment: SE does not use a goombrat, instead he is referring to a fan mod of another mod called ACE (meaning AE Community Edition), which uses a Goombrat named "William Smithley" (I know as I am in fact the one who came up with the name and it just stuck, it is loosely based on "Slim Jim was my father's name, call me Slimothy James")
Unsure about Willnew, but the name is from the goomba's Emote on the unofficial Stabyourself.net discord server (which could be the name, but it's equally likely that it's still Will Smith)

Fun fact: The goomba on the title screen is named Will Smith and has a brother that is featured on the title screen of Mari0 SE named Smithley and in the sequel called Mari3 the goomba on that title is named Willnew.
