While they have most of the same buttons, they don't look the same especially the + button and the D-Pad is completely different (even that depends on Switch model, some have the D-Pad as 4 buttons while the Lite does have a D-Pad). Companies are very picky when it comes to showing the button icons, in some cases enough to reject your game and have to submit another build to correct them. Thinking it is part of certification at least on PlayStation consoles, Microsoft and Nintendo might have something similar.
