those are either placeholder enemies, or enemies from the unused third board.

what even are these random ass enemies below the row of vfx sprites, where did they come from

bro that effect right next to eram looks just like the mega man hurt effect but squished horizontally

are those straight-up sprite rips from mario 2 and link's awakening (i think) on the row right above the sword route enemies?

@MarioMadness734 Oh. Yeah looking at it the first time I thought it was sub-pixel but I guess not lol

@WooperTheWhopper97: I don't think so? The Shadow Mantle's tongue doesn't use any sub-pixel positioning, so it looks the exact same even when at the same resolution as the other sprites.

@Deep Weeb From personal sprite art experience myself, it’s probably to fit the tounge in his mouth. It would not be possible for it to be there otherwise.

Is the Dark Mantle sprite really supposed to be twice the resolution as everything else just to be downscaled in-game? Was there any particular reason for this?

Interesting how the Bubble and Spark from Link's Awakening are just...here, completely unused. Same with the River Zora projectile. I knew there was inspiration taken from that game (and the original Zelda), but that really seals the deal.
