I messed around with it against sprites and backgrounds from the game. I think you need to put it on a top layer that's set to multiply blending mode. You can often find this setting in the list that has others like darken, color burn, lighten, screen, color dodge, soft light, etc.

I think they aren't transparent because you'd have to group them in a switch layer, like in Moho, and set the blending mode to color. Right?

I did an in-game check and apparently that's the way it comes. The white is probably chromakeyed out somehow.

Why it's white? Why not transparent?
