are the fuzzies reused from world?
@Danny Jarquin If I had to make a guess, it's probably due to the fact that the other 8-bit section (theater) was post-game exclusive, which wouldn't necessarily make sense to have region coins locked behind post-game content.
And as for the Festival, I've no idea; it might be just so you don't have to do the Festival just to get all region coins.

why was the Metro Coin scrapped from the 8-bit portion?
@Super_luigi and CaptainGame17: It is the bubble used for Assist Mode, yes. I'll go edit the sheet to clarify it instead of having the slightly-jokey "Actual Bubble" name I gave it earlier.
i think its for assist mode but i could be wrong
where is the bubble sprite used? i've never seen it in-game
@McBragginsGamingYT I'm pretty sure those are masks. Basically what tells the game what parts are transparent and what parts aren't.
Are the black and white images, for the odyssey, used for depth during the loading sequences after you've beaten that game?
@Retro64: To finally answer your question: No. It's from Donkey Kong when you finish the game. For that reason, look at the NES version or the Wii VC variant from 2011.

@Depressed Mario: The only 2D section in the Metro Kingdom is the post-game SMB1 throwback, and that area doesn't even have any Purple Coins. And on top of that, the game for some reason only has a file for the collected (greyscaled) variant and not the regular appearance.

Is the 7th frame of Donkey Kong unique to this game? I can't seem to seem to find it any where else.
@Erableto: If it's not here, it doesn't exist. MisterMike made custom sprites of those, though.
@Erableto I don't think there are any regional coins in 2D sections of the mushroom kingdom.
