The effect that appears when players respawn in online multiplayer is also missing. I'm not requesting for it to be added, I'm just pointing it out like the comment below mine

where are misc ui elements? such as the like and boo icons

@Jod Dan oh cool, the smw one is still missing though, i would try to rip it myself, but idk how to decompile/export sprites from switch cartridges

From what I've heard 3D World's tileset is 3D models, as they can be seen from a slight top-down perspective during gameplay.

Is the tileset in SM3DW theme sprites as well or are they 3D models?

WHY DO I KEEP REQUESTING STUFF AND BREAKING THE LAWS MAN I WANT TO CHANGE
ALL I DO IS JUST REQUEST REQUEST REQUEST I THINK I NEED TO BE LOBOTOMIZED OR SOMETHING I HATE MYSELF SO MUCH
Anyway Super Mario Maker 2 is my favorite game of all time. It lets me bring out my creative side, and I love getting a glimpse of what it's like to design your own Mario experience.

@Its-A-Me_Austin: "Joking" about requesting by making a request and then crossing it out (in your now-deleted comment) does not magically make it exempt from the rules.

how do you rip sprites from smm2 I can't find it anywhere

they're probably screenshots because the amount of models on screen during a mario maker level can get pretty intense

@Roadconian: As with most baked things, the main reason most likely is speed. I think another reason is that you can apply effects/changes to sprites that would've otherwise been tedious to make function with models. Also images (aspecially with todays' even lossless compression) are pretty light, relatively to other parts of the game.
But I'm also no game-design-something-whatever-ologist, so take what I said with enough salt to cause hypernatremia.

With how many sprites the NSMBU objects and enemies tend to have, I don't understand why they didn't just use the actual models rather than making a billion screenshots of said models.
I'm no game-design-something-whatever-ologist, but wouldn't using the models take up less space than images of them? (not to mention all the frames appear to be enormous)

I always thought that the tiles in the 3D World-style were pre-rendered for some reason (when you edit a course, at least)

@Super_luigi: Those are considered textures (they're not at a unified scale and have black backgrounds) and it should've been included in the Warp Doors model submission over at tMR, but it's absent from there, so...

where's the SM3DW weird mario? (the ones from when you knock on the door) (i get its probably not a sprite but i couldn't find it on tmr or ttr)

I told you NSMBU models are prerendered texture.
Nintendo, that is, who made this game, had to render the models and then fake them with a bump/normal map, this technique was used to pre-render models.

Where’s the NSMBU Goomba?

I added it, and the review is finished. It’s on the Mario, Luigi, Toad, Toadette and Items (SMB1) and Mario, Luigi, Toad, Toadette and Items (SMB3) sheets.

where is the rotten mushroom collected skull sprite? i needed it for one thing, and i cant find it

I don't see the NSMBU koopalings here because they are models.

@kitten Models.
Everything with complex movements is a model.
