@FungiCaptain My headcanon is that if you're playing as any character besides Mario, your character is helping Mario complete courses alongside him, similar to how you play as one character in some games in single player while in canon, all of the characters partook in the same actions alongside the character you played as. In other words, you were never alone.

These 8 bit sprites should have been downscaled to fit the original scale

It still bothers me that regardless of your chosen character, its always shown as Mario in endless mode.
@NH The colorists probably couldn't decide if it was a button or glove between this and the normal SMB style sprites.
