for the fire characters i would've just used a monochromatic color palette that matches the character (three orange shades for mario, three green shades for luigi, three blue shades for toad, and three pink shades for toadette)
Gotta love how SMW Luigi got new sprites despite already having some yet they couldn’t bother to use the all stars sprites for Luigi

I for one actually find Fire Luigi's color palette quite pleasing, as I think the neon green fits with the red outlining make for a very appealing color scheme, and knowing I'm the only human being with this opinion hurts me inside
I dislike Luigi's fire sprites. They're alright and go well executed, but it kinda would've been cool to have Luigi have a light green shirt/hat/shoes with a dark green outline/overalls/eyes instead of light green with red. It contrasts in an odd way. Too bad Super Mario Maker 2 isn't getting any more major updates.

@Theopold That's true, but having Luigi be a Mario color swap is lazy, inappropriate, and insulting to our lean, green fighting machine.

Why is Luigi just a Mario recolor when they could've just made 8-bit renditions of the Super Mario All Stars sprites? From what I can tell, Nintendo literally just used Mario's sprites, then they changed the red to green and called it a day.
I just noticed that the eyes on the Frog Suit change when the characters are doing certain actions. I kinda like it, but at the same time, I kinda don't.
@GlacialSiren141 What I'm saying is that I like this Fire Luigi.

@GlacialSiren141 Nope, you're not the only one. Fire Luigi's new design makes him easier to tell the difference between him and Fire Mario.

Also just to let you all know, Frog Mario is still green in single-player but in Co-op, Mario gets his Frog Suit red to avoid confusion from Frog Luigi being green.
