@quantumKya i believe they're models, you can guess by looking at how they parallax as a perspective in-game, allowing you to see depth of it

Sorry if this is a bad question, but are the level backgrounds/models textures, sprites, or models? they aren't present on any website, but I would like to know what their classifications would be. To be clear, I'm talking about the images in the background and the ground the players stand on.

Wait, does this game utilize pre-rendered sprites for its objects and such like Mario Maker does? I figured it would all have been 3D models this time around since they dont have to worry about performance as much as they did with SMM, but I guess not.

Hey, I've noticed an inconsistency. It's not that big of a deal, but this game has different icons for The Spriters Resource and The Models Resource. It is also pending on The Sounds Resource with another different icon.
