Wacky Platforms

@SpaceHarrier64 It would have made sense and the NES could do racing games whether top down or chase view. While Atlus themselves haven't made a racing game to my knowledge (they published racing games though), it could have been subcontracted to a company that could like Genki or Varie. My theory is a licensing restriction from Hanna-Barbera.
There was a Spectrum/Amstrad game that was also a platformer from around the same time but this time you played as the Mean Machine and only played as Muttley in certain levels.

Why was Wacky Races made into a platform game, and not, oh, I don’t know, a racing game?!

This game's Wikipeda article claims that it's a platformer developed by Atlus.
