Now because of that pirate game I will no longer be able to watch Fred Flintstone the same way.

Hey @Larry's Here, Debootlegging Fred wasn't an easy feat. First you had to track down the original version of the game. Then, you gotta scan through the game's tiles that WASN'T broken by Mario's head. Joey's physical copy of 7 Grand Dad was super sluggish to play due to the other 6 games built into it, but it was still very much playable AND can be beaten. Unfortunately, a no-death run is a bit impossible due to how butchered the code is in the bootlegged version of the game.

The unmarioing process was a success.

MegaDrive2000 It wasn’t a dream it really happened.

This feels so odd without the SMB3 Mario head on Fred. (Well, what do ya know, that rhymes.)

It was all a dream.

It's worth noting that the sprites where Fred uses the different powerups he receives from the basketball minigames aren't included in this sheet.

remember the bootleg thingy that turned into a meme? there was a mario head on fred
which is called granddad
which is called granddad

Cause it's cartoony?

If you think about it, why does Fred hides his head like a turtle when ducking?

No worries man.
It's rumoured to have been a Blockbuster exclusive but no one seems to be able to confirm it

@Deathbringer: I... can't actually confirm or deny that, as I'd gotten my copy from Blockbuster (in Canada, so it's for sure not just in the U.S.) a long time ago. Maybe? I know it wouldn't be the first case of a rental-only game if it were (the Beast Wars and Clayfighter 63 1/3: Sculptor's Cut games for the N64 also come to mind).

Wasn't the sequel only Blockbuster exclusive and not actually retail? At least in the US?

@Goemar: If I recall, only Fred's sprites are the same, though it's certainly been a long while since I last played it so there might be some additional sprites for that game.
But yeah, I've got plans to rip those, too.

@RTB Ah, my mistake. Any plans on ripping the sequel? Or are the sprites pretty much the same?

@Goemar: Yeah, I've got the opening cutscene and first stage (and the enemies that show up there) fully ripped right now as well as a buncha loose ends, I'll continue on with those in March.
And it's actually The Surprise at Dinosaur Peak (the sequel) that's the expensive one, not The Rescue of Dino and Hoppy. I've still got my copy of both games.

It's cool. Was some years ago I did these so didn't have my mad skills back then... Are you still doing sprites from this game? If not I wouldn't mind doing a full rip of it as it's quite famous for being damn expensive. (And apparently some meme I don't understand).

Since I had a WIP of this sheet that I never got around to finishing, I thought I'd compare. Turns out you missed a few sprites for the basketball minigame, Goemar -- one for standing with the ball (bottom-left) and two for throwing while standing (first row, furthest on the right). I've added 'em to the sheet for you, feel free to re-reorganize it if you want.

beanluv - honestly I have no idea what you're on about :/

Apparently people don't know how to read plus a rule broken. I'm not backseat moderating, either. I'm not saying to do it or not to do it.
This better not have been ripped just because of the 7 Grand Dad meme.
