S1 just translates better to 8bit technically, imo
@PDR Valid opinion, I'd say both S2 and S3 have better sprites than S1 XD

@SSK Simple reason for that, the previous one was based of S3K, this is based of STH1. S3K has objectively better Sonic sprites.
i kinda like the other version of NES improved sonic better in my opinion
