The NES uses four background palettes and four sprite palettes, each with three colors.
So what values are used for all of the in-game palettes? I assume that all of the ghosts are just palette swaps.

But I just posted the catbox link here?

I just found it for those who like nostalgia https://web.archive.org/web/20150612030437/http://www.spriters-resource.com/nes/pacman/sheet/15839

The last text color (yellow) is Tengen only, used for the ghost names in that version.

Worry not, I have preserved the original: https://files.catbox.moe/r45bfy.png

I want to update this but I'm afraid to touch this piece of tSR history

What bugged me in this port was Pac-Man's sprite itself, the back of him would like quiver or wobble when he moved, rather than stay still like the Arcade

I think it's a cross between palette limitations on the NES preventing full color usage for all objects, and that this is a port of the conversion on the MSX, which used the exact same bonus fruit sprites.

@RetroSpriter
3 colors, but only 8 palettes on-screen at the same time, split between two sets of graphics with 4 palettes each. At least, I think that's how it works....

I keep wondering why they didn't use 3 colors for most of the sprites, cause the NES was capable of running 3 colors.

Neither is J, Q, or W.
I checked the ROMs (Japan, Europe, Namco & Tengen US) and they are in the game. So this is a simple mistake on the rippers part.

I looked in the alphabet of this sprite sheet, and the letter Z wasn't there!
