I see only a third of these characters ingame

these sprites look sick! I wish there was SNES version of these sprites...

At least they look like they belong in a Mario game, not like Mario is missing.

The unused Mario costume ideas for Super Mario Odyssey.

Considering that the Greek area is Olympia in 776 BC, he might as well be the king of that city-state with the start of the Olympics in that city and year

@eerie10 Seems to just be a generic stand-in. The game itself doesn't say, so it really could be anyone from the time period.

Who is that Greek Guy anyway?

If that's what they were going from, ya know, I kinda like that they are all Mario! Reminds me a lot of that one king from Super Mario Bros 3.

@TheMorningFlash15 There's a couple things on DeviantArt I'd be able to show you regarding the subject. (Or preferably, let's not pursue the subject, eh?)

@Superjustinbros When has Mario ever been edited into a tall, slender girl?

Unspecified Greek guy, Cleopatra, Yoritomo, Magellan, Shakespear, Einstein, Ghandi, and either Neil Armstrong or Buzz Aldrin.

Before editing Mario into different characters was a thing on the Internet.
