At least this one feature a big Mario head instead of the small one.

I don't know much about either games, but it's possible that Mario was shortened to Mari since the game is a bootleg of Jackie Chan Action Kung Fu, and with Chan being four letters long they might have had to remove the O to make room on the game's data.

This is the game where Mario, using sudden karate prowess, fights a guy who turns into a giant spider, in order to save a chibi Chun-li with an eye tic and the old man from the first Legend of Zelda game. And yet this isn't the most famous "game" on the set.
