@game4brains Wow! That is an awesome fact!

Apparently most of these enemies are ripped straight from the bestiary of the Dungeons & Dragons series of tabletop RPGs. The only reason why Square didn't get sued was because Nintendo of America noticed the infringement and forced Square to rename and replace the Beholder with the Evil Eye, as the Beholder was the only in-game monster to be the legal property of the D&D team.

This sheet is pretty much screwed up. Changing the palette won't help, since the sprites itself use the white of the background.
But oh well, it's an old sheet and the rippers probably didn't think of using a bg colour which is not present in one of the sprites.

The Black outlines aren't true to the Nes color limitations and are most likely added in by the submitters. (this is understandable since the sprites were designed to be displayed on a black background) although it's more convenient to have the outlines, they aren't part of the game's data that way.
Also, it' would be more convenient to have the alternate palette monsters together in a group instead of spread throughout the sheet.
