@TheWispGuy I just finished uploading my Japan Course sprite rip animations to MarioWiki, so I'll be starting on this one soon. When I re-rip/arrange the golfer sprites for completion/further-investigation purposes, I'll keep your credit tag up since you went to all that work and did a great job yourself - I appreciate the groundwork you've laid greatly. (Also, I called the VS. Ladies' Golf character "Obasan" and "Maria" for the same reason, lol)

@Doc von Schmeltwick
Hope you don't mind, but I decided to go to the effort of playing Famicom Golf: US Course to rip the sprites for the female golfer. (I call her Maria. Very clever, I know)
I sent in the updated sprite sheet, so it should be arriving soon at some point.

Gonna update on the below comment:
That requires a physical copy that had a cumulative score of at most 320 (about 80 points for four slots) AND was registered with Nintendo's "Disk Fax" system back in 1987
-OR-
The prize card "Special Course" after getting the cumulative score under 320.
As only the latter has a ROM dump, I will be attempting to get it from that version, but as it's harder, it may take a while, even with save states. Worth noting is that the palettes appear to be the same as Mario's.

Apparently some versions of this game have a secret female character?
It's not the same one as in the VS. System's "Ladies' Golf."

Those of you who think that Mario's US-themed golfing clothes came from NES Open Tournament Golf?
Think again.
